This jewelry set will be one of your most wearable pieces in your jewelry box. With the adjustable length necklace, you'll be able to wear this with any neckline in your wardrobe. In addition to being adjustable, this necklace doesn't have a clasp to fumble with. Using a simple knot system, you'll slide the necklace from short to long in seconds and be able to slip it over your head without any trouble. In this class you will make one necklace and matching pair of earrings while learning the basic wrapped loop technique which is an essential skill in beginner jewelry making. I will supply you a plethora of bead choices with various sizes, shapes, and colors. You will be able to choose from semi-precious, wood, bone, horn, metal, and coconut beads. Pictures are examples to help you get ideas, current supply inventory varies. I will also bring finished samples to help inspire you during the class. Earwires are hypo-allergenic and you will use sterling silver plated earwires. All pliers, findings and supplies will be provided. Ages 12+. Youth must be accompanied by an adult who also is also registered for the class. Skill level: Beginner. If you already know how to make a wrapped loop, that is a bonus. If you don't, I'll teach you how! Be able to use two pairs of pliers, one in each hand, to twist and pull your wire into the wrapped loop. You will be putting beads on wire so please plan to bring your glass and/or magnifiers if needed.
