Simple and earthy, these sterling discs were hammered from molten droplets, and bear the rustic texture of the old ball peen hammer I use for just this earring shape. These versatile, affordable earrings add a bright, or rustic look for a comfy everyday basic. Lightweight and flattering for most face shapes, they coordinate beautifully with other silver jewelry. The silver droplets i used were formed by melting down some scrap silver left from cutting sheet silver and bits of wire. Just a lil FYI…silver has doubled in price in the last year so I really treasure my scrap!! The process: I melt the silver in a crucible, then create the discs in a repeating process of hammering then annealing, hammering and annealing…oddly satisfying and therapeutic :) These have been a customer favorite for their rustic simplicity, and comfortable wear. Perfect as a thoughtful gift for any jewelry lover or addition to your earrings you love to wear every day. Two finishes: Antiqued Silver (soft antiqued grey finish) and High Polish (buffed to a high shine)
