I found this shop as I meandered through the back alleys of Florence. I was actually looking for the silk shop, which, even though Google Maps had promised it would be open, was cl osed. Closed behind 12 foot gates, in fact. So, on my way back, I decided to pop into this store, Miato. Inside, I found a woman, piles of bags, and her sewing machine. She uses remnant fabric, (small scraps that would have been thrown out,) to make bags of all sorts. I chose these cute makeup bags, because of their bright colors and practicality. They have a beaded tassel on their zipper, and are lined with a water resistant, easily cleanable material. Each one also has small pockets on in the interior. Show more
