Chinmaya International Foundation is that part of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's vision and mission which seeks to unravel the age-old knowledge traditions of India and present it t o the generation of people at hand. CIF, as it is called, is located in the birth home of Adi Sankara, the pioneer saint of Advaita. It was Gurudev's plan and vision that Sanskrit - both, language and tradition - be kept refreshed in every generation. CIF's work includes decoding manuscripts, disseminating the message of the Rsis through seminars, workshops, publications and home-study courses, enabling discussions among scholars, unraveling and preserving the ancient knowledge traditions of India - all this and more, so that the rich wisdom of India is kept ever alive and relevant.
