our upcycling workshop with sam is an invitation to reimagine what you already own— a hands-on, creative way to give your clothing a second life. when: april 23rd from 6 to 8 pm how it works: bring one clothing item from your closet— something you love but don’t wear, or a piece that feels ready for a refresh. in this workshop with sam roberts, you'll explore the art of hand stitching to give a new life to an article of clothing you want. you'll learn basic sewing and embroidery techniques to hand-stitch and apply your patches and fabrics onto the garment (jacket, pants, shirt) or tote you bring. natural fibers work the best- cotton, linen, etc. sam will bring a selection of fabric and patches from their personal stash. feel free to bring your favorite threads, embroidery floss, fabric, or patches to use. sam will guide you through a range of upcycling techniques, offering multiple approaches so you can choose what feels right for your piece. whether it’s subtle updates or a more transformed look, you’ll leave with something uniquely yours. this workshop is beginner-friendly and open to all— no prior experience needed, just a willingness to experiment and get a little creative. cost to participate: $35 location: basic. + grounds
