Darker fabrics, charcoal, navy, slate, hide daily wear much better and generally look sharp longer with less effort. That doesn't mean you should avoid lighter colours. That distinction matters more than it sounds. Particle board can sag, warp, or crack under years of normal use, especially in a King size where the spans are longer. MDF holds its shape, handles weight properly, and gives the fabric something firm to sit against so it doesn't look deflated or lumpy over time.
