Side one is inspired by the mid-nineties jungle sound when the music was becoming more stripped back and influenced by hip-hop. Side two expresses my appreciation of the darkside hardcore sound. Growing up in the midlands I was exposed to this era of hardcore and jungle by hearing tapes from promotions such as Amnesia House and Quest. The Eclipse club in Coventry (later the Edge) played a major part in the proliferation of this style which continues to influence many contemporary artists within the rave scene. The samples used in these tracks reflect issues relevant to our current times whilst paying respect to the original architects of the hardcore and jungle sound.The process is universal across all mediums, whether composing music, applying paint to surface, the creation of sculpture or utilising the written word, audio or physical the same rules apply. A creative idea is like a recipe and how you achieve your dish is down to your ingredients and the method in which you combine and arrange them. Through the understanding and practice of this methodology the global community of earth manifests our universal energy to defeat systems of government which divide and oppress in the name of self-enrichment and destroy our planet for personal greed. This is at the foundation of Universal Process Records and expressed through the Passion Projects series. It is important to communicate to the listener that they are not alone in these times of upheaval. Through creativity and determination, we realise our best selves and through this realisation we help others realise their own creative potential.
