Lee Perry ended his run on the Trojan imprint with his 1973 album, Double Seven. Here The Upsetter lays down heavy vibrations with help from U-Roy, I-Roy, and David Isaacs on vocal duties fusing "the soul, funk, reggae and dub elements that were constant in Perry's work during this phase." Far-out sonic exploration present and accounted for: peep the frying sounds on the opener "Kentucky Skank," the dubbed out Moog blips on "Double Six," the bugged out reggae remake of "Love And Happiness," or Perry himself literally roaring on "Jungle Lion."
