If the spout has a strainer or aerator, remove it prior to sampling Step 2 Samples must be shipped the same day they are collected via guaranteed next day delivery and must be collected after 1:00 p.m. EST to minimize time in transit. Do not collect and/ or ship your samples on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or the day before a National Holiday. Run the cold water for approximately 3-5 minutes, then adjust the flow to a thin stream to avoidsplashing or overfilling. Fill the bottle to the neck, cap securely. Step 3A Complete the enclosed lab form, making sure to indicate the collection date and time you sampled, type of water, and sample identification (e.g. kitchen sink, well head,etc.) Return the blue ice pack to the kit and place the kit back in the cardboard box with the completed lab form.
