These Mil-Tec compasses are based on what the US WW2 corps of engineers were issued with some minor visual differences. The compass is surrounded by a aluminium case to keep the lens and its liquid stored housing safe. A lid folds out with a sighting wire within it and a magnified lens in an arm for reading bearings and ranging with a map. A solid little compass that is lightweight and easy to keep on your person when trekking in the bush.
