USED GEAR INFORMATION This filter wheel is in near mint condition. There are a few minor cosmetic imperfections on the chassis near the data ports, but otherwise it is in excellent shape. The OAG prism has a tiny chip out of it on the sky facing side, but it should not impact guiding performance. This is the 9 position 50mm unmounted round filter version, but the carousel can be changed if need be. Comes in a hard plastic shell case with filter holding rings. The third image shows yellow adhesive on the back of the OAG prism holding it in place. This is normal and is purely cosmetic. Description The 'Maxi' filter wheel is ideal for use with larger format cameras, as it has the ability to carry up to 7 x 2 inch square filters, or 9 x 2 inch round filters. It also has a large input / output aperture of up to 65mm clear diameter (72mm x 1mm threads). The built-in off-axis guide assembly makes it easy to use with most guide cameras (Lodestar X2 recommended). Several carousel options are available, as follows: 1) 7 x 2 inch square unmounted filters. 2) 9 x 2 inch (50.8mm) round unmounted filters. 3) 9 x 48mm threaded filters. 4) 11 x 36mm round unmounted filters. 5) 11 x 1.25 inch threaded filters. Unmounted filters may be up to 5mm thick. Input and output adaptors: The standard output adaptor ring is a male 72 x 1mm threaded version, intended for coupling to an SX-35 or 36 camera, but alternatives are available. We can provide a male or female 68 x 1mm ring, or a 'universal' ring which allows any of our smaller filter wheel rings to be used. For example, the universal ring can couple to a T2 ring for connection to most of the smaller SX cameras. The same rings (male or female) may be used on the input side of the wheel, making the maxi wheel very versatile. The Maxi wheel uses the same control protocol as the smaller SX wheel and has both USB and serial inputs. The entire electronic assembly is USB powered and does not need an external power supply (the serial input does require a small PP3 style battery, if this is used).
