A straightforward control setup consisting of a master volume, active treble and bass boost/cut control knobs, and a pickup-blend knob govern the two active preamps with three proprietary tone modules specifically designed for Pedulla by Bill Bartolini. The "Thunderguts" switchable circuit accesses the thicker and darker low mid growl while maintaining the Thunderbass signature punch. The result is maximum tonal versatility with minimum control panel clutter. The ET ("Exotic Top") Thunderbass guitar uses laminated wings set to a five piece neck that includes two thin strips of Bubinga. The increased laminating redefines the attack, while the Bubinga accentuates the lower mids. This combination produces a considerably different tone: deeper, rounder, and a well-defined "sweet" high end. The ET electric bass is finished with a satin oil/urethane process.
