This class is designed for individuals seeking to meet the training requirement to apply for a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP). Utah issues a standard permit for individuals 21+ and a provisional permit for ages 18–20. Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this class. What To Expect: This is a 4 hour classroom only course. No live fire is included. The course fee does not include the state application fee ($52 for Utah residents, $87 for non-residents). Fingerprinting and passport photos will be completed during class. However, it is the student’s responsibility to submit their application and required documents to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI). This course does not guarantee approval of your permit. All applications are reviewed and processed by the State of Utah. What must accompany the application? A Photocopy of your state issued Driver License One Passport Quality 2x2 Color Photograph (white background, no hats or sunglasses; name written on back) Non-resident proof of permit. If you reside in a state that recognizes the validity of the Utah CFP or has reciprocity with Utah, you must obtain a CFP or CCW from your home state and submit a copy of it with your application for a Utah permit.
