Full of character the knife features a rustically forged 700-layer random pattern Damascus, ground secondary bevel along the forward quarter of the spine and a unique snub-nosed profile that gives the knife a petty/nakiri hybrid feel about it. Consistent with all of Jararmie “Jezz” Heywood’s work, the knife is convex ground, thin behind the edge and very sharp. The textured OB composite handle perfect those surgical movements pivoting blade around between the thumb and fingers. 41mm blade height gives you plenty of knuckle clearance and the 160mm blade length makes this knife perfect for light slicing and chopping work or an ideal knife at the dining table with a block of cheese, dried meats, or other snacks and a cold drink. Completing the knife is a signature OB black resin, composite handle with detailed texturing, which increases in density towards the blade providing the user with a tactile surface helping to index the fingers. The handle is finished with a brass finial and exposed dowel.
