Utopian Rope Sandals Since 1976, Utopian Rope Sandals have been hand-made by members of cooperatively run East Wind Community, Inc. in the Ozark hills of rural southern Missouri. B orn out of an effort to up cycle our hammocks production rope leftovers, East Winders began a process of trial and error to make something of value from this industry's waste materials.
