A cosmopolitan species found throughout the Americas, Africa, parts of Asia, and Australia. This adaptable bladderwort grows terrestrially in wet sand, peat, or moss and can even become subaquatic in flooded conditions. It produces abundant small yellow flowers with delicate spurs, and in cultivation it may alternate between showy blooming and cleistogamous phases. Plants may or may not be flowering at the time of purchase. You will receive a 1" plug of this Utricularia. Care for this carnivorous plant is simple. I recommend using a mix of 3:1 peat to perlite, using the tray method to keep the substrate constantly wet with water under 50 PPM TDS. I use a 14 hour photoperiod at about 250 PPFD, but you can use a natural photoperiod or anywhere from 10-16 hours. I rarely fertilize, but when I do I normally spray the leaves with 500PPM MaxSea fertilizer. Please note this plant will ship bare root via USPS Priority Mail.
