This unit measures UV Intensity in two UV-bands The UV-Meter Twin Probe UV A+C is a self-contained, high quality UV measuring instrument. It is designed to measure and display the actual UV intensity of a UV light source in mW(μW)/cm2. The two UV sensors of the instrument measure and display the peak UV-intensity of UV-A and UV-C separately and also as a total (mW/cm2).The removable, probe-type twin sensor head is connected to the base unit by cable. The measured values are displayed on the 2 x 16 digit LCD display.A special AUTO-OFF feature that turns off the unit automatically after one minute serves as energy saving and extension of the battery service life. Calibration:In order to keep its full function and precision it is recommended to have re-calibration done once per year. Ongoing, PTB* traceable calibration with certificate. See SKU 69600 for details. Note:While measuring, the sensor of the instrument can withstand max. 110 deg C for up to 10 seconds. The temperature of the housing should not exceed 113° F / 45° C.Because of uneven radiation distribution of the UV light source and different type of construction of the measuring devices by different manufacturers, different readings may appear under the same measurement conditions.* PTB = Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt / German National Metrology Institute
