Description M5Stack Unit UWB is a DW1000 UWB module for indoor wireless ranging and position measurement. It uses the Ai-Thinker BU01 module solution based on Decawave DW1000, integrates an STM32 controller and ranging algorithm, and exposes AT command control over a serial interface. As an indoor positioning module, it supports base station and tag operating modes. In a ranging setup, the base station calculates and outputs position information to the tag, helping developers build short-range asset tracking, location evaluation, and indoor measurement prototypes without designing the RF section themselves. The M5Stack Unit UWB reaches positioning accuracy up to 10 cm, supports two-way ranging and TDOA, complies with the IEEE 802.15.4-2011 UWB standard, and provides 2 x LEGO-compatible holes for mechanical integration. The DW1000 UWB module is useful when an indoor positioning module needs compact hardware, serial control, and Arduino or UIFlow development support. Note: The firmware currently installed on this unit only supports the transmission of ranging information and does not support custom information transmission. When in use, it supports the configuration of up to 4 base station devices using different IDs, and only a single tag device is allowed to operate at any given time.
