D-Green kills moss, algae, lichen, mildew, liverwort, moulds and fungi on hard surfaces, and V-TUF state it holds regrowth back for up to six months. On a roof it does the part a scraper cannot. Scraping lifts the moss that is physically sitting there, but the algae and lichen staining left in the face of the tile is what brings the green back within a season. V-TUF name roofing among the surfaces this suits, and say it kills algae and lichens on roofs, which they link to damp problems in the property underneath. It is a softwash, so it goes on and stays on. There is no pressure washer involved and nothing to rinse off. Results normally show in two to three days, and V-TUF say within 48 hours. Where it works Roofs and structures: roofing, weatherboard, brickwork, masonry, pebbledash, concrete, York stone, sheds, greenhouses and conservatories Ground level: patios, pathways, tarmac and asphalt driveways, gravel, tennis courts and artificial sports surfaces Around the property: fencing, decking, garden furniture, painted and glazed pots, gravestones, PVC and caravans Dilution and coverage. It is a 10x concentrate. Maximum dilution is 10 parts water to 1 part D-Green, or you can run it neat through a pressure washer chemical feed. A 5 litre container treats up to 500 square metres. Getting it onto a roof. From the ground you need a way to carry it up. The Chemical Applicator - Roof Cleaning Upgrade Kit converts a FaceLift pole with a nozzle, 30m of pole hose and an angle neck. At ground level a V-TUF Pressure Sprayer - 10L covers most jobs. One limit worth knowing. D-Green is not for moss in grass or lawned areas. It is a hard surface product. On those surfaces it can go straight onto moss, mould, algae or mildew and kill it off. Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
