A step toward a solera-style California Brut. We blend across vintages — aged components alongside youthful ones — to express different facets of terroir. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from top California appellations for sparkling. Components aged in barrel up to 23 months, unsulfured. The added weight from long barrel and bottle aging lets this wine handle richer food; consider moules frites or steak tartare.Vineyards: Santa Cruz Mountains, Marin County, and Santa Rita Hills — what we consider California's best appellations for sparkling wine.Winemaking: Small lots of whole-cluster-pressed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
