The V35-485-1 is a DC powered interface converter that allows full conversion between V.35 and RS-485 interfaces. The converter requires an external AC adapter. The converter provides a high degree of electrical isolation between the serial interfaces. It has DCE/DTE selection for V35 port and can operate 2 or 4 wire, full or half duplex on the RS485 port. LEDs report status of both interfaces. One typical application for this converter is extension of an RS-232 interface over longer distances using 2 or 4 wire copper circuits.
