I got my first pocket knife when I was 5 years old, machete at 8, and large fixed blade at 10. I grew up watching 80s and 90s action movies, making forts in the woods, and hunting and fishing. My quest for the perfect bowie lead me to get a custom made, and that lead to me designing the V44X and bringing it to market with Work Tuff Gear. The V44X is my take on an extreme version of the WW2 “V44” Bowie. The Marine Reaper Bowie is intended to be a do it all bowie knife that hits hard, but isn’t cumbersome to use. I wanted to have everything I wanted, and to get rid of all the things that I didn’t like about other bowies.”
