Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share this handmade Valknut warrior pendant with you all! It's double-sided and comes in either .925 sterling silver, antique bronze or stainless steel. It’s actually a reproduction of a super popular one a lot of my heathen friends wear—but theirs are made of pewter and tend to break from daily wear. So I got a request to make one in antique bronze, which is way more durable for everyday use! But this pendant is more than just a cool piece of jewellery. The Valknut, also called the "Knot of the Slain," is packed with meaning. It’s all about the connection between life, death, and destiny—talk about powerful! Wearing this Viking pendant is like carrying a little piece of Norse warrior spirit with you, a nod to the honour, courage, and wisdom of Odin himself. How cool is that? Details: Pendant Dimensions: It is designed differently on both sides and is 2.6cm high plus the loop and 3.3cm wide and 3mm thick. Materials: available in either .925 sterling silver, a mix of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper, and antique bronze, a mix of 90% copper and 10% tin. Both are free of nickel, zinc or cadmium, which are common metal allergens, which can cause rashes and sores. For more info on bronze, read my blog post or consult my FAQ. Stainless steel is an affordable material to create hypoallergenic jewellery for those sensitive to costume jewellery. Stainless steel is a tougher material than gold and silver and is ideal for everyday wear for those that are hard on your jewellery. The stainless steel I use is 316L grade to make sure you get no allergic reactions as 316L grade stainless steel is nickel free, lead free and cadmium free. Moreover, stainless steel is water resistant and doesn't tarnish and doesn't required a lot of care. It does take more work to finish pieces cast in stainless steel and can take longer to get cast, so the processing time is 2-3 weeks depending on the caster. Shipping info: Shipping is with tracking and full insurance. For international buyers, please be aware of taxes and duties are payable to your country and must be paid by the buyer and is not collected by me. Please note that my pendants do not come with chains due to the high cost of materials. However, you can browse a variety of chains in the Chains & Engravings section of my shop. For any questions about my materials, processing time, and more, check out my FAQ for more info! This design carries a combination of various symbols all associated with the Norse All father God, Odin. In the centre of the front is the "Valknut," three interlocking triangles which translates as the 'Knot of the Fallen.' To bear this mark signified that the wearer had dedicated their life to the service of Odin and, upon death, would be carried by his servants, the Valkyries, to Valhalla, where he would feast daily until Ragnarok when the warriors would emerge from the hall to fight the Hellbeasts.
