Valley Oak aka California White Oak (Quercus lobata) is the largest oak in North America, this California native can grow to150 feet tall, have a trunk up to 9 feet in diameter and live to 600 years old. A variety of white oak its acorns are used to make nutritious acorn meal and are much relished by many types of wildlife.
