Sunderland and Mexico have struck up an unlikely friendship this season, as Mexican football fans took to X to announce they'd be supporting Sunderland this season, and they haven' t let up since. Since then we've been able to form a friendly bond from across the pond, with the Stadium of Light already seeing it's first Mexican supporters through the turnstiles.
