Founded in 2004 by Masafumi 'Bebeton' Watanabe, BEDWIN & THE HEARTHBREAKERS represents a staple in Japanese fashion with a global design influence. Teaming up with Vans' Vault divi sion this Summer, Bedwin and Watanabe unveil a 4-piece footwear collection, driven by the Cali-based megabrand's historic footwear silhouettes melded with 1920's and 30's Americana styling. The OG Authentic, tooled with Vault by Vans' LX sole, takes on the same thematic 'Bandana' motif as the other examples in the collection. Executed with a full textile upper, the Authentic gets remixed with USA-made bandanas, cut-and-sewn in a patchwork-like design, ensuring each pair is uniquely different. Blending different cut pieces of the bandana to each panel, this Bedwin Authentic sees a blend of reds and pink. Each sneaker is finished off with a bold red midsole foxing and heel tab, with a contrasting yellow Waffle outsole, complete with co-branding on the tongue tags.
