Founded by Jona Jefferies and Kava, the label has grown from the celebrated Many Hands podcast and dance sessions that began in a Berlin basement in 2016, carrying its wide-ranging musical philosophy onto vinyl for the very first time. Designed for dark rooms, powerful sound systems and adventurous DJs, Basement Versionz brings together four distinctive tracks from the wider Many Hands family. Dan Aikido's '0800 TXT4 Herb' opens with a laid-back fusion of fretless bass, jazzy keys and soulful vocals, while Ernie Ruso's 'Stroke It' delivers slow-burning R&B grooves wrapped in P-Funk-inspired wah-wah textures.
