Beams' latest varsity down jacket really has the best of both worlds. It's got a little bit of a George Costanza about it (no it's not GORE-TEX), and it's also got a little bit of Michelin man about it. Aside from all that, the fact remains. This is just an extremely nice jacket. So let's get down to it. What's it made of? Well for starters inside, it's filled with responsibly sourced and processed down from Allied Feather Down, so you'll be able to sleep sound at night. While it's not GORE-TEX, it is water repellant which is honestly close enough. The snap closure buttons make it easy to get in and out of, plus it's got two side pockets, plus a third zipped one which is perfect in the interest of valuables you may be carrying.
