Soda-fired porcelain vase. Water safe. Lined with a clear glaze (which appears white on the porcelain)Approx 7" x 6" Nolan Baumgartner, Chicago, ILAll of the decorations are hand-d rawn, then the pieces are glazed and fired to cone 10 (2345F) in a soda kiln. We spray a solution of sodium carbonate into the kiln when it gets to temperature, which reacts to the clay and glaze to create individual and unique items. No two pieces coming from a soda kiln will be identical, so these are one-of-a-kind! Show more
