The vase and fruit tray of the Arcimboldo collection are the resultof hand crafting combining precision and expressive freedom.They are blown in experimental moulds consisting of v ertical steelplates. The blowing of the master glassmaker guides the expansionof the glass, yet always leaving it free to evolve in unique andunexpected forms between the plates, creating pieces that are neverthe same twice. The thin metal foot is characterized by five supportsterminating in a palmate support.
