The Vaso Camelia Toscana is a conical Italian terracotta planter originally developed for camellias, with proportions that support steady root growth and even moisture distribution. The shape is simple and direct, without added ornament, which gives it a quiet presence across a range of settings. Made in Impruneta from high-fired terracotta, produced in a workshop that has been operating since the 19th century. The clay is naturally porous, allowing for airflow at the root level while helping regulate moisture. The surface starts matte and warm in tone, then deepens and develops variation over time outdoors. Frost-resistant to -20°F when properly drained. Well suited for camellias, citrus, and other shrubs, as well as general outdoor planting where a more straightforward terracotta planter is preferred. The form works easily in both traditional gardens and more pared-back spaces, adapting to a range of settings without feeling out of place.
