The Vaso Stemma Mediceo is an Italian terracotta planter with a broad, flared form and a central Medici crest set within a band of sculpted garland. The detailing draws from Renaissance Florentine ornament, with the relief worked into the surface rather than applied. Made in Impruneta from high-fired terracotta with a single drainage hole. The clay is naturally porous, allowing for airflow at the root level and helping regulate moisture. The surface starts matte and warm in tone, then deepens and develops variation over time outdoors. Frost-resistant, with good drainage recommended in colder conditions. Offered in a larger size, with a 33" interior diameter and 31" height. Well suited for citrus, topiary, or more substantial planting. A strong outdoor planter for formal garden layouts or entry points where a more detailed piece can anchor the space.
