Australian Outback road trips- roads that stretch out for miles, a lot of nothing in between towns and green grass camp grounds are a rare luxury. This humble water tower stands tall at the Devils Marbles Hotel- an absolute oasis in the desert. We've set up camp here a couple of times. The pool is always a welcome sight for our family of boys and the Barramundi a real treat after a week of camp food. The first time we camped here there were fireworks behind the water tower. We had landed here on Northern Territory Day, the only day of the year the public can buy and set off fireworks. It was such a happy little chance encounter, to watch the display from our tents under this water tower with millions of stars as the backdrop was pure magic.
