The VDB FCS-8 Control Surface for Sound Devices 8-Series Mixers is a compact USB controller designed for the most demanding productions, thanks to its aluminium and PA-12 nylon chassis. It has 8 channels with trims (with end stops) on rotary potentiometers, dust-proof faders and PFLs. Need more channels? Check out the FCS-12 here. The FCS-8 interface has dedicated commands for record, stop, slate mic and a shortcut for arming and disarming individual tracks. PFL and Arm status for all tracks, Rec/Stop, and Slate mic status are displayed using LEDs on the front panel of the controller. It also offers a rotary master fader, that can be mapped to any bus or output of the8-Series Mixer-Recorder, and 5 custom buttons that can be assigned to various functions including Com Send/Returns, Circle/false take, or assigning faders to buses or outs. The 8 channels of the FCS-8 make it particularly suited for bag use with the Sound Devices 833, on productions where the equipment must remain light and durable. The FCS-8 uses the MIDI MCU protocol, and is compatible with most DAWs for studio use. Two Types of Fader Options The VDB Finger Control Surface 8 is available in two versions, tailored to the fader resistance preferred by the operator to best suit their preferences and working conditions:- Soft version: Smooth faders designed for responsiveness and speed- Firm version: Faders with resistance for precise, fine-tuned control Additionally, the design of our control surface allows users to easily replace the faders,whether for new ones or to customize their setup.
