Veevus Monofil Thread Veevus Monofil Thread (monofilament thread, mono tread) is a premium quality, translucent material, excellent for tying shrimp, scud and streamer patterns, as well as a ribbing material for creating segmented bodies. It is a single, continuous strand (filament) of synthetic, monofilament fiber. Veevus Monofil Thread is a superfine, thin and supple thread, very easy to work with. The thread is also extra strong and durable with great holding power making it a perfect choice for tying saltwater patterns, predator flies and when tying flies that require heavier pressure. Due to its see-through material, it is ideal for patterns which require a translucent appearance - where you want the under-material and all the details to show through. Makes great translucent heads for streamer patterns. When coated with epoxy resin, the thread blends in completely, disappearing.
