Natural vegetable tanned kangaroo medium weight (approximately 1.0 - 1.2mm) sold in square foot pieces, half or whole hides. Natural vegetable tanned kangaroo leather available in three weight categories, lightweight, medium and heavyweight. Kangaroo hide is very strong and durable and is ideal for making jesses and anklets for falconry as well as hoods. Sizing is approximate, generally lightweight hides are 5.0-5.5sf, mediumweight 5.5-6.5sf and heavyweight 6.5-7.5sf. It is also an excellent leather for whip making and small leather accessories such as wallets and card cases. It can be dyed or stained and lightly embossed.
