The recommended calcium intake for adults is quite high - 700mg per day for those between the ages of 19 and 64.* Vitamin D can be predominantly found in sources of animal origin such as fish, red meats, beef liver and egg yolk. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus. Iron is found in plant (non-heam) and animal (heam) sources, with the latter being more readily absorbed by the body. This product combines Iron with Vitamin C, which increases the absorption of Iron. Vitamin B12 Tablets provide an essential source of Cyanocobalamin, which is produced from natural sources via the fermentation of Pseudomonas denitrificans. Vitamin B12 supports normal energy metabolism, the formation of red blood cells, immune function, physchologial function and the functioning of the nervous sytem, as well as cell division. Please note that our Calcium and Vegan Vitamin D Tablets contain Wheat. In addition, these tablets are offered in a torpedo style at an 18mm diameter and may not be suitable for individuals with swallowing difficulties.
