Our notes This satchel converts: clip the straps to the fittings on the back and it's a backpack, worn on both shoulders or slung over one, and move them to the sides and it hangs across the body. The straps come off entirely, so it changes shape depending on the day rather than committing to one way of being carried. It's cut tall and narrow, which is what lets a 14 inch laptop, an A4 notebook or a hardback sit upright inside rather than lying flat across the width, and it keeps the bag close to the back when it's worn. Two buckled straps hold the flap down over the front, and underneath them sit concealed magnets. Set the buckles once at the holes that suit you and leave them there, then lift the flap and the magnets release with a light pull. Press it back down and they catch on their own. The bag is shut either way, so the buckles are there for the look of it and for when you want the front held tight, and the magnets do the everyday work. Inside, it's lined in vegan suede, soft to the hand with a light grain, and there's a slip pocket on the front panel under the flap. The gusset is set in as a separate piece, which gives it depth and lets it hold its shape rather than collapsing flat when it's empty. Presented in a Will's Vegan Shoes cotton drawstring dust bag.
