The hard bristles are made of natural tampico fibre mounted on an untreated beechwood base. Can be composted at the end of its life. 13.5 cm long. Now that I have this brush I don' t peel root vegetables any more. Brushing them saves me time and I benefit from all the healthy nutrients that are in the peel. The wood will darken with time because it's untreated, but the bristles stay in great shape. It is also manufactured sustainably in Germany by an ethical family business.
