The result is an artwork that feels soft, atmospheric, and contemporary, with the repeated forms of the buttons creating a visual language of their own. At 24 × 24 inches, the square composition gives the wing-inspired forms room to expand across the surface while maintaining a balanced presence on the wall. Individually layered buttons create a subtle relief effect, allowing gradients, patterns, and highlights to shift with the surrounding light. The surface is especially rewarding from different distances: the overall silhouette feels almost painterly, while closer viewing reveals the intricate structure of the button mosaic. Its deep purple palette makes Velvet Wings a natural choice for interiors that lean toward modern, artistic, or softly luxurious styling. Displayed above a bed, sofa, console, or desk, the artwork can introduce color and texture without relying on a busy subject, making it equally suited to minimalist rooms and more expressive spaces. Choose Your Experience DIY KitBuild the composition yourself and watch the layered wing patterns emerge gradually. Working through the tonal changes and repeated forms creates an absorbing creative process, turning an abstract artwork into something you actively shape.
