For more than 300 years, the life of the villagers is centred around the production of this cacao the genetics of which is a Criollo Trinitario hybrid, considered among the most complex cacaos from organoleptic point of view. For the cultivators the Chuao cacao is not just an agricultural product; it is their live, their identity, their pride, non-separable from their culture, their land, and their language.
