The Shell is the inner layer that grips your sensor and clicks into the Armour. You can't wear the Armour without a Shell. The metal needs something to grip. Tested with every Dexcom G6 / One I've worn. Phone NFC scanning works straight through both the metal Armour and the inner Shell. No signal interference. No need to remove anything before checking your readings. Scan as you normally would - phone close to the sensor, same as without the Armour. Tested and confirmed on every supported sensor. MATERIAL + CARE Built from 316L Stainless Steel - the same medical-grade alloy used in surgical implants, body jewellery, and watches that touch skin every day. Nickel-free. Hypoallergenic. The good stuff. Waterproof - shower, sweat proof, 316 doesn't care. Hypoallergenic - no nickel, skin-safe even for sensitive types. Not for contact sports - rugby, boxing, MMA, take the Armour off and wear just the Shell. Cleaning - wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol, or warm water and mild soap. Dry it before snapping back onto your sensor. Storage - when it's not on your arm, keep it in the pouch it shipped in. Stops it knocking around in a drawer.
