The Vent Pendant by Resident draws on the interplay between form and function; bringing together two intersecting forms - a cone and a triangle, in sand cast aluminium or bronze. T ogether they direct light in dual directions, resulting in a sculptural object that balances minimal utility with raw material expression. The conical shade delivers a focused beam downwards, whilst its triangular body allows an ambient glow to cast upwards, gently illuminating the surface, and subtly highlighting rich depth and texture in its materiality. The dimmable LED bulb allows both ambient mood lighting, or brighter, focused illumination. Suspended alone or in a series, Vent lends a considered presence to any interior. Made in New Zealand.
