Douze Mois de l’Année: Ventôse, 1919 Ventôse is the month of the wind in the French Revolutionary calendar - a time of transition between winter and the first signs of spring. In M arthe Romme’s interpretation, the female figure conveys a sense of movement and lightness, as if captured in a moment when the air stirs her garments and the space around her.
