These natural and unglazed incense holders are a miniaturized version of my popular Venus sculpture series. Each one is a small treasure, blurring the line between design functiona lity and art object. The warmth of the terra cotta draws inspiration from the Southwest–each batch containing a pinch of red Aztec sandstone from Valley of Fire, Nevada. The Venuses are slip-cast in small batches from my studio in Jersey City. The color and shape may vary slightly from batch to batch which adds to their unique, hand-made quality. Giving back to help the Earth: for each sale made 10% will be donated to the Sierra Club Foundation.
