9 hazy, hop-saturated beers from Penryn, Cornwall Verdant Brewing Co is a Cornwall-based brewery, now operating out of Penryn, that has spent over a decade becoming one of the UK's most respected names in hop-forward beer. Started in 2014 by a group of homebrewers near Falmouth, they were among the first in Britain to truly commit to the New England IPA: soft, hazy, low bitterness, with hop aroma doing all the talking. Their brewing DNA runs through Citra and Mosaic, through Headband and Lightbulb - beers that balance the full-bodied juiciness of the American Northeast with ABVs that don't demand a lie-down. Everything is unfiltered, unfined, and vegan. No shortcuts, no concessions to shelf-stability over flavour. Since moving to larger premises in Penryn, they've grown the range without losing the plot - fresh drops alongside enduring classics, the odd experimental release keeping things honest. Nine cans of that in your hands is a pretty good way to spend an evening.
