The Marcato Vermicelli Attachment cuts thin, round pasta strands at 1mm in diameter. Compatible with the Atlas 150 and Atlas+ pasta machines. Made in Italy. Vermicelli (meaning "little worms" in Italian) is closely related to spaghetti but finer, sitting at 1mm in diameter compared to spaghetti's 2mm. The thinner strand suits delicate, light sauces where a heavier pasta would overpower the dish. Seafood, light tomato sauces, and simple olive oil-based preparations all work well. The Marcato attachment cuts consistent 1mm round strands from a sheet set at position 5 on the thickness dial. Using the Vermicelli Attachment Set the pasta machine thickness dial to position 5 before fitting the attachment. It works by hand with the included handle, or with the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately. It fits the Atlas 150 and Atlas+ via the standard easy-change fitting on the back of the machine. Pasta diameter: 1mm round cross-section Recommended sheet thickness: position 5 Compatible with Atlas 150 and Atlas+ Pastadrive motor compatible Materials and Construction The body is chrome-plated steel with anodised aluminium alloy rollers. The anodising process produces a food-safe surface that releases no metal residue onto the pasta. The attachment is not dishwasher safe and should be cleaned with a toothpick or small brush after use. Do not use metal objects on the rollers.
