Vertical upright post, 99.5cm long, 5cm diameter (external) and 4cm diameter (internal). Used for vertical upright posts of the handrail system and connect to the floor fitting base plates. Use the longer horizontal middle posts, 1.26m as upright posts for the side fitting base plates. Our GRP handrail systems are the perfect finish for our raised pits and also offer safety aspects for a wide range of other applications. We've been fitting the GRP handrail systems to our raised pit podiums for several years as they offer safety and security for the users. Stainless steel fittings are flush mounted so as not to protrude and cause injury (drilling required). We advise the use of our podium handrail system on installations over 60cm high; the GRP handrail is installed to the outer edges of the podium and where there is a possibility of falling or slipping from walkways and public areas ensuring user, staff and visitor safety. GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) is a fibre reinforced polymer made of a plastic matrix reinforced by fine fibres of glass. GRP is a lightweight, extremely strong, and robust material. GRP's bulk strength and weight properties are also very favourable when compared to traditional metal alternatives or inferior timber versions.
