The sampling point is what creates a defined, visible air inlet at the end of a capillary run, so air is drawn from the exact location that needs protecting rather than from the general pipe route. The E700-SP is a conical surface-mount fitting designed as the termination for an 8 mm capillary tube.Installation is push-in: the tube pushes into the fitting and a built-in locking ring holds it and maintains airflow integrity, which matters because a loose capillary changes the airflow balance of the whole pipe network. The E700-CAPKIT plastic connector kit is used where the capillary joins the trunk pipe.Design note: the length of each capillary tube is a critical element of the VESDA ASPIRE calculation and should be kept to a minimum wherever possible for optimum performance. Run the pipe network through ASPIRE before committing to capillary lengths — a long capillary can put transport time outside the listed limit even when the rest of the network is correct.Typical applications are data halls, cleanrooms, communications and equipment enclosures, and high-ceiling spaces where a discreet, precisely placed inlet is needed.
