Working with traditional ceramic forms given a contemporary twist through the abstraction of common forms, use of of multiple clay bodies, glazes and hand painted surfaces which draw on the experiences as a professional tattoo artist. As a ceramic artist, Tahlia is compelled to explore and grow with equal concern for tradition and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the history of ceramics, whilst engaging in creative play, allowing the freedom for other aspects of contemporary life to unconsciously enhance the artistic potential in her work.
